Indy does not have any great outdoor flea markets. If they did, my hubby would be there every weekend. The usual garage sale season is late April thru early October. When it is warm enough to work outside. Some in March but very iffy.
There is an outdoor flea market in Bargersville a drive south of Indy but we have not gone in years.

There are three (or four or ???--they all run together) flea markets along State Road 46 between Columbus and Nashville.
They run April-October. As far as stuff...lots of junk (lol), lots of Nascar, and occasionally a good find or two. One vendor had lots of cool old toys a few years ago. One of the flea markets has an architectural salvage shop. The Brown County Antique Mall was recently renovated as well (have not been in since they reopened). Worth a drive on a pretty spring or fall day.
Google Gnaw Bone flea market for links.
Happy Hunting

If you feel like getting away from Indy, come on down to Nashville, TN.
Our monthly flea market at the State fairgrounds is in the Top 10 in the nation.

There is also an outdoor flea market in the warmer months in Strawtown Indiana, It is up Hwy 37 north of Noblesville. It is not as widely known as the ones down by nashville Indiana, also there is bargersville Indiana, it is on Hwy 135, south of Indy.

I used to go to an outdoor flea market in Bargersville, south of Indy on rt-135. We have some indoor flea markets with semi- permanent stalls in Indianapolis. One just west of I-465 on Washington (rt-40) and another just east of I-465 on the 38th st exit. Both on the westside of Indy.

Lionandlamb, the flea market is held at the State Fairgrounds, just off of I-65,
on the 4th weekend of every month. Except for December, when it is held on the 3rd weekend of the month.
