Just drove through Peru today to get back home. Ahhh ... the lovely drive down 31 south .. pittoey! I went to college near Peru, I used to like to go to the local reservoir at Salamonie .. heard the fishing is really good there, climb hanging rock. I find the Wabash River to be one of the most beautiful rivers I've ever seen.

I grew up in Peru and would love to move back and raise my kids there. Unfortunatly with no jobs there and all of the foreclosures I dont think that will ever happen. If you have kids Peru is a safe place to raise them.

My memories of Peru always involve softball tournaments and the Circus!
I haven't been in a few years but I always enjoyed the circus. It's a great community project up there!
I'm gonna have to drag my fiancé up there for it next time!

Welcome!
Hi my family and I just moved to Peru in June of this year so we to are newbies! We love spending time at Maconaquah Park here's the web site, Maconaquah Park. We go hiking through there, there are small bridges that my kids love to throw rocks off of into the water. There is a brand new Playground off Strawtown Pike. There is a really good bakery for donuts and coffe DeRoziers, it's at 61 N Broadway just just up from the museum, which by the way is interesting! There is 7 pillars a rock formation, you can walk down by the river, take a bit of a hike, it's really pretty! I take my boys into Logasport to McDonalds for the play yard. We love to drive around and find small places. We visited Notre Dame about 2 months ago, just before school got in session and that was great we have also visited Purdue, getting our 4 and 5 year old excited about staying in Indiana for college ! We occasionally go to Carmel for a taste of home, there is an outdoor mall with a natural food store there. Ft Wayne also has a nice outdoor mall that is great for just hanging out in good weather, I believe it is calle Jefferson Place. We spend a lot of time playing out side, walking around and just exploring nature. We have not really met to many people here, my husband and I are both Shy so we have said hi but have a hard time talking to new people face to face but everyone seems really nice. Please feel free to e-mail me through my profile if you have any question or would like to chat! We would love to meet new friends ourselves!
