Default SW Indiana mold removal estimate

[SIZE=2]I am looking at a fixer-upper (not a flip) home for sale that has a major mold issue. Before I proceed further I wondered if anyone could give me a rough ballpark number on what I would expect to pay.
The home is 2 stories plus partial basement. The basement was finished with wood paneling and drywall, and had a crawl space for the rest of the foundation. The basement is about 22'x22', and the crawl space is about 34'x22'.
The home was a foreclosure and the basement flooded while it sat empty (sump pump doesn't work if the electric is off, and we got a lot of water this spring). There was standing water in the basement for an unknown amount of time, so the whole basement needs gutted. It does not appear there is any visible mold about the basement level, and there was none obviously visible in the crawl space, although I couldn't get in for a thorough investigation.
Any idea what I would expect to pay?

Would it be possible for me to gear up (respirator and such) to tear out the old stuff before having professionals come in to finish the job? Would that save much money?

It seems as if the best thing to do it rip out the old drywall/paneling with a mask on. If it didn't get behind the walls than a simple bleach water treatment might work on the concrete. Also get a dehumidifier in there ASAP. Yes, you can do this yourself.

Expect to pay at least $900 for someone to do mold remediation. That was the estimate for a VERY small area of a crawlspace remediation a friend did. (I'm not talking about tearing down walls, just a spray treatment.)

I think someone on here had this done so they might know more specifically what it done.

We had to do it, it cost about $1200 via a mold remediation company. It was a small area inside the garage. They had to cut the drywall, treat the wood and floor behind the drywall and replace the sheetrock. We wouldn't have even bothered if our relo company made the remediation a condition of our house sale.
