Sure enough, down to number six. Still way above the national average, though.

That report from what I've read and what I see around me seems to be correct.

Question: I often set fire to books and eat at McDonald's four-seven times a week. I also voted for Mitch Daniels. I don't smoke; but I also don't have a faux-hawk. Does this make me regressive and backwards?

Thats sounds pretty progressive to me. Getting rid of old info and misleading history, helping with the economy by eating out several times a week, animal lover (as long as you are eating salads at micky D's), non-smoker but the Mitch thing may lean you towards moderate.

In the 1920's, Indiana had the largest Klan movement in the country.
A Closer Look at Indiana's Klan
And it seems that plenty of their descendants are still around, and in a city you would expect to be more progressive, given the presence of a large university.

Yup, Indiana is a real winner all right.

I was just thinking about how much I loved roaming the country side and setting fire to houses on the country side back in the 1920's. Reading that stuff takes me back. I remember this one time in particular, there was this quiet family that never bothered anyone. Sadly, myself and my crew had no hair, and these people were red-heads. Of course, this was unacceptable. We waited for them to ride their buggy to the corner market; and by golly, we set that house ablaze. Gosh, those were the good ole days.
Nowadays, can't even burn a pile of books without getting people upset.

Don't worry, you're exempt. You live in the one quasi urban, trendy neighborhood in the whole state.

Then they've shut down bus service in Northwest Indiana. After 20 years of discussion, though, they may finally get a comprehensive regional transit system that will cross city lines and transport people to major regional destinations. Maybe.

It may also finally add new lines on the South Shore, so the huge numbers of commuters in central and south Lake County don't have to spend half an hour or more crawling down surface streets and being caught at train crossings to get to a station on the existing line. Maybe.
