Default Weather in Evansville

Hi. Could anyone tell me about the weather in Evansville? Are there 4 seasons? Do you have a nice fall and snow storms in the winter?
Thank you,
Theresa

It is terribly humid in the summer, but the tradeoff is somewhat mild winters. Just know that when it does snow, even if it is only 2 inches, the town is thrown into a frenzy! Just a word of advice, most people in Evansville are clueless about how to handle snow. Just, be prepared for it.

Default weather eville

i think the weather is really good. that is one of the best things about e'ville imo. the summers are hot and humid, but the winters are laughably mild (compared to northern places). although last winter we got an ice storm one time and that particular storm was horrendous. they do not know how to handle snow here because there just isn't that much. flowers come out early and there is an actual spring and fall (very nice). but, we also get tornado warnings a few times a year, although very few actual touch downs in this area.

Evansville definitely has four seasons. Snow is infrequent but is guaranteed to fall every year; actual snow storms where factory shifts are cancelled and roads are closed are a once in 10-20 years event. Fall is a little brisk (55-70 degree highs), with Indian summer days common. Severe weather is infrequent as well; Evansville is about 30 miles from a faultline so it is more seismically active than most of the eastern US, but it does little more than a jolt with barely any damage every 5-10 years (the most recent felt one was in April). Tornado warnings are a given every year, but it's hardly Tornado Alley, and most of them cause no damage.
