I have 2 friends who moved to Indy as a result of 9-11. Yep ... they didn't want to be anywhere near the city after that happened. Funny, they both said that they were ready for the boring stability that Indianapolis brought for their children. Good schools, friendly people and less chance of getting killed in a terrorist attack ... not kidding. They are still there and feeling safer and safer each day. They miss bagels and delis on every corner, but it was a good tradeoff for them.
