than we thought. Turns out our civilian employer is likely closing shop by the end of the year. Their 'sister' plant let the last of their employees go on Friday with no warning.

So depending on how much it's going to cost us to break this lease and if it will be cheaper to ride it out on unemployment or pay it out and all of that, we may be in Columbus as soon as March. On one hand I'm kind of disappointed because I wanted to let the girls to finish school in their current district because they've already had so many changes this year, but on the other I'm excited to maybe get a jump start on getting new jobs and building our new life, and for once being in a town that is growing and vibrant rather than stagnant and dying. {when the foreclosure notices section is a full page and the employment ads not even a quarter page single column, that's a bad sign, right?}
At this point, we have a leasing agent/property manager that is willing to work with us and has a pretty regular inventory of houses that fit our needs, we've made contact with the autism coordinator and the school district, I've gotten to where I feel comfortable driving around the area with minimal reliance on my Garmin {which doesn't show EITHER wal-mart for some weird reason. tries to send me to Greensburg or Bloomington} the kids fell in love with the playground equipment they saw in the parks we drove past when hubby was home as well as yesterday, and of course the people trail makes me swoon.
Which leaves a few questions-
1. Who/where is the best naturopath or osteopath in the area?
2. Which chiropractic practice {i counted 5 that I saw from the street} is the most client-friendly? Do any offer cranio-sacral therapy?
3. Why does it seem so hard to find web links to churches in Columbus? Is it a matter of size, cash flow or lack of desire to reach outside the city and advertise their presence?
and perhaps the most important for the short term-
4. Is it feesible to live in Columbus on an initial budget of $1,750/month with $650/month of that going to rent?
