Thanksgiving
As we busy ourselves with the coming of Thanksgiving I just wanted to wish my fellow Hoosiers a happy time! There could be family drama, less food, less family members but count each blessing we do have and enjoy!
Oh yeah be sure to wear elastic waist pants 'just in case'. Safe travels if you are driving to your get together.

Oh another post yeah! I read and hear all the time about how friendly Hoosiers are then I wondered if I put this under the wrong state when there were no replies.
Our fridge is almost cleaned out of leftovers have a huge tom turkey thawing in it ready for all the leftovers from T day!
Enjoy one and all!

Jaxson,
I wish you and your family a Blessed Thanksgiving...Thank you for being so thoughtful of all us Hoosiers. I'll be sure to take your advice on "elastic waist" pants...I think I wear sweats..
Best Regards,

Yum!!!
Sounds deeeee-lish, Jaxson!! Can I come to your house instead of traveling all the way to NW Chicago? Though, I'll take Chicago vs our usual 9+ hr. drive back "home" to north-central Wisconsin... especially this time of yr w/unpredictable weather.
Wishing everyone more than enough to be thankful for... safe travel, our family & friends, many happy memories made (and not soon forgotten), remembering those less fortunate (and doing what we're able to help), & a lil' extra room in the non-elastic waistband clothing we all have to fit back into after the holiday!

Sure! I am so thankful I don't have to drive somewhere nor split times between 2 family dinners anymore. The down side of that is the years ahead me will find my own children having to split holidays one day too soon for me. I miss all the loved ones that have passed on but it is less hectic when you get to stay home all day.

Fortunately DH & I are from the same hometown; one of our families has dinner & invites the other's over... which is fantastic! Completely hear you on the 2 dinners! Not even elastic waistbands help at that point. Down the road is the same for us - extra reason to enjoy the here & now that much more! And reminiscing is a great way to remember those no longer with us or unable to be there this time of year - though doesn't lessen how much we miss them. We tell the same stories year after year & it never gets old; find they truly live on through each & every one of us that way. Will be ~40 of us together this year - all immediate family. MUCH to be thankful for right there.
Staying home (or at least w/the meal hosts) is an extra bonus - one of the best parts is being able to raid the fridge at midnight for a leftover turkey sandwich & fixins!!!! We'll miss that this year... So - DC 38, please be sure to snag any & all leftovers you can!
