I live in Florida and am getting kinda tired of the hurricanes, twisters, low really low wages. high taxes and insurance . I heard through a Truckstop Cafe conversation that Connersville is where it is really happening, real estate is really reasonable, taxes are low, jobs pay a real wage, plenty of work. people are honest. streets are clean, insurance is reasonable, This town might be a future boomtown. It sounds good to me. It sounds REALLY GOOD!!!!

Yikes! Well, Ford is closing down the Visteon plant in Connersville, so there may be a lot of real estate to choose from with almost 1,000 workers being fired.

Indeed, very sad. Connersville used to be a center for the automotive industry. I also read that navistar is going to lay off about 1200 workers in Indianapolis.

I got that news about Navistar yesterday. The Germans also want to dump Chrysler. the American automotive industry is in a state of economic shambles.

Greenspan said we're going to have a recession before year end and he could very well be right.

Eastern Indiana is suffering a major economic crisis. It is going to take a long time to recover.

I sense that someone might have been sarcastically giving you info about the economic status. Don't come without a job or at least a long visit to check out the place. Real estate is cheap because there is no one who can afford it.

if everyone brings 5 jobs along with them to Indiana, then we'll be just fine. I'll contribute to the welcome wagon to greet every new immigrant who brings in 5 good jobs. That could stop Governor Mitch (Mr. Privatize) from selling off our Lottery too.

I wish that Greenspan didn't open his mouth yesterday about a recession coming. the DOW plunged 500 points today. I feel the heat of a meltdown and it's not in the weather.

Well, it's now confirmed that China rules the world. Economically anyway.

I read in the Star today that there are about 1,000 call center jobs coming to Indiana. So goodbye manufacturing and hello entry level crap call center jobs!!! Wonder if this state will spend money to train the assembly line workers how to do those call center jobs!
