I'm not sure where to begin my search, so I'm starting with YOU all, hoping your combined knowledge will direct me.
I found an old sepia photograph (12"x14"), printed on some type of photoboard, in my attic the other day, and would LOVE to find out WHERE it was taken.
It shows a picture of a city taken from a river, where a few men are fishing. It appears to be from the early 1900s maybe. The city is a mixture of old and new buildings, a few of which, I'm sure, would be VERY recognizable to someone from that area. The main focal point in the pic is an OLD round building. Would any of you have an idea where I could send this photo to get it ID'd. Is there a website for geography/history buffs??

When I hear about round buildings, I think of Fulton County ... but they are known more for round barns. Is there a way you could upload it here for us to gander?

Hi Domergurl.
Thanks for your answer. I'd LOVE to post it to the group. How do I do that??? I"ve actually scanned it in two parts because it's too large for my scanner as is. Is there a way to send the scans to this site??
Thanks

Ha! Well, I've found my answer, quite by chance. It's a picture of the Mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian in ROME!!! with the Basilica in the background!! IT's all so old and brown looking, and taken from the BACK side, from the river, so it didn't look the part. I guess the mystery is solved. Thanks so much for your offer of help.
