Default Crazy weather day! 12/19

Wow .. I call my folks up in South Bend and they are frozen and it's in the mid 50's down here!!! Nothing good can come of this, nothing good at all.

Be safe everyone.

I for one don't want ice. Fell yesterday on my bad knee while walking on a sidewalk downtown. It was sheet ice. Slid to the street from where I fell. Walked on the street the rest of the way home. All the sidewalks were treacherous. Now today I just have to avoid all the water.

Crazy weather.

Hope your knee is feeling better! I'm just shaking my head.

Does the state keep 80/90 clean of snow and ice? Are there gusting problems when it storms along the expressway?

The weather here sure is interesting! I thought for sure we'd get some of that snow everyone around us has gotten. I've gotten so many phone calls from family seeing if we're okay and are shocked when I tell them even the bit of ice we had was already melted away.lol
It seems like we were skipped.
My kids came up with saying Hawaii is mad at us for leaving and for wanting cold weather/snow, so it's keeping the snow away. It's not even winter yet, so hopefully we'll see something bigger than what we've gotten so far. (we're definately snow/winter ppl here!)

We lost the top half on our Bradford pear tree and have a lot of limbs down from the ice coating we got. School was cancelled so they put up on their web sites finals missed will not have to be made up after Christmas break so kids are happy.

We haven't had any of the snow either our roads weren't too bad when we went out about 5pm today either.

Farmer's Almanac says we are in for a bitter cold long winter this year have to see if it rings true.

Can you imagine if this storm happened during ISTEPs? They'd send the national guard out to make sure the kids get to school!

Sorry about your tree Jax.

During the fall when I was riding my bike more often, all the wooly worms I'd encounter on the bike trail were very very dark and very very wooly ... it's going to be a long hard winter.

yesterday i shoveled my sidewalk then used the shovel(plastic) on the car. it was covered with a layer of ice and snow, some parts being a couple inches thick. the neighbor came out and asked if i needed a scraper. i said the shovel worked better to break it up. had to do the same thing with a friend's car last night.

I hear ya on ISTEP you are messing with the school's state funding there.

Thanks about our tree we were sad. I didn't see hardly any wooly worms this year here but your description is what I have always heard to be a hard long winter too.
