Default Move to Bloomington from Columbus?

Our family is dissatisfied with Columbus and was thinking about Bloomgton? Any thoughts about schools, town, not affiliated with IU?, etc?
Thanks

Bloomington is like Columbus in a lot of ways. Especially in the housing and retail department. But Bloomington has IU, and not many employers, while Columbus has Ivy Tech and more employers that can give you a higher income. I had some dislikes about Columbus too. Like the newspaper, so arrogant. But there were some things I really liked about the place aswell, like the Architecture, the neighbors, and the new projects going on downtown are really interesting. What were your dislikes? I'd like to know.

Beyond the cultural and educational offerings of the university, it's not dissimilar to other small cities in Indiana, including Columbus.

Not sure what level of schools you are looking at but Childs Elementary located in the south and University towards the east are by far the best. Bloomington High School South is by far better than North as well...Good Luck!
