I did a Google search of (Cochran chair company, Indiana) and it turned up a few results. Apparently there was such a company established in Dearborn county in 1879.

Hi, I have 6 oak pressed back chairs with caned seats and am interested in what they are worth. They are unusual as they each have two separate panels that are pressed (each about 8 inches tall, one above the other with about 4 inches in between). Did you ever find out about the Cochran Chair Company, They have the original label on the b ottom.
Thanks.

Default Cochran Chair Co.

I have some chairs and a table that are stamped Cochran Chair Company. They are from my Grandmother who purchased them sometime after 1913. I am looking for information as well.

I have one of the chairs, don't know anything about the co. The chair I have is Maroon in color with a needle point seat, the chair is close to mint and the seat is mint. The chair is original with all tags under the netting. I saw a faint marking "1888". Write me if anyone has info on this chair joecbellezzo@yahoo.com

I have an armless rocker with label of Cochran Chair Co. I haven't been able to find out much about it. I will be anxious to hear if anyone has found info on these pieces. This chair was my great grandmother's and she passed away over 20 years ago at 100 years old. The story is that she had it since she was a newly wed.

Default Cochran Chair Company

I have a chair made by the Cochran Company of Aurora, IN, Number 1140 1/2, with the label still on it. A signature of W. E. Kritch is penciled in on the label. This chair belonged to Leon A. Vanderwater, my husband's grandfather who was a piano tuner in Bloomington, IL, until he was 100 years old. We inherited it from his estate in the late 90's. Would love to know more about it, i.e. it's value and date made if anyone knows more about this company.
