Butlerville is pretty small. It is located approximately 25 miles east of Seymour on U.S. 50. Seymour is located midway between Indianapolis and Louisville on I-65. Butlerville is about 50 miles west of Cincinnati, that would be the closest large city. I live in Jennings county, and actually have a Butlerville address, even though I live about 10 miles away from there. Columbus is a nice size town that is probably about the same distance as Cincinnati. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions, just ask.

The closest town would be North Vernon, pop around 10,000. Next would be Seymour, pop around 15,000. Columbus is farther with a pop of around 40,000. North Vernon and Seymour are probably about the same as far as cost of living, Columbus would be a little higher. MUTC is in a very rural area, there isn't much around here. If you have any more questions let me know.

Hopefully, I'm not being too nosy, but I am curious what the people who are working at MUTC will be doing. I know the gov't approved $100M for MUTC for development. Are you military? I'm rather curious as to what all they will be doing there. $100M isn't exactly chump change! Then again, considering all the bailout money, it doesn't seem like much!

Butlerville is a small town but in a decent area. Never heard much bad in that area other than some poverty but that is everywhere. North Vernon is about 10 or so miles away and Cincinnati is about 60 miles east. Louisville is about 60 miles Southwest but longer considering S. Indiana roads. Columbus is a good city to live in, good schools, moderately professional and progressive people. Seymour has its nice spots but a high level of illegal immigration so be careful with that. Otherwise, I think if you have a decent long term job it is a place to live.

I know they have a website. What everyone does there I don't know. My boyfriend is in the military. He is in the Indiana National Guards. He is an IT Specialist at MUTC.

Here's the website, if anyone is interested: Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC) > HOME
I found the powerpoint presentation on the facilities to be very interesting.
