question about registering vehicles
So my husband will be in Indiana around March 1st and we are at that time to get our cars registered. Can anyone tell me what to expect at the dmv? In SC we have to pay personal property tax and I'm not sure what to expect there, any insight will be appreciated
Thank you
Erica

I was wondering the same, and I noticed a new resident has to take a written driver's exam. Strange how some states make experienced drivers take a written test. You would think a good record would be better as an indicator than a written exam.

I had to take the written test when I moved to Illinois and then when I moved back to Indiana. The Indiana test is HARD!!!

There's a great free app on the iPhone with study guides and quizzes for all 50 states. Sorry, I don't know of any on the web, though.

BMV: Driver's Manual
Here's a link to the driver's manuals. You can also pick up lots of reading material there as well :]
Hope this helps.

Make sure to know the signs--even the obscure ones.

The Indiana test is mostly common sense questions, aside from the signs test. But make sure you read the driver's manual.
