The College Football Hall of Fame is just off the toll road in South Bend. Also, the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is on the way as well.

As you first enter the state from the East, there is Pokagon State Park - very
hiking trails and the such there... nice to get out and stretch legs if so inclined:

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore - go there a couple times every year. Sunsets are gorgeous btw... esp. watching it set towards Chicago in the distance.
