Question Jr. High Reading teacher.....

....looking to relocate somewhere in rural northern Indiana....would like a small farm...I have a herd of cows...2-dozen or so.....how are the schools in this area? is it hard to get a teaching position?....Thanks for any help...

You have a lot of options. One I would look into is seeing if you can get a job at Prairie Heights Middle or High School (they are right next to each other). You could live on or right nearby a large glacier-formed lake (Big Turkey Lake or one of the others in the area) or buy yourself a good quantity of land to raise/take care of your cows. This school district has really nice facilities, and the student academic performance isn't too bad (compared to some other schools in north rural Indiana). I found some data online indicating that many of the teachers are getting ready to retire so I really suspect that if you found out who the principal was, you could talk your way into a position (just a hunch).
