There ya go.
We had a line of storms come through that I wasn't aware of last week. I was sitting at the computer and my ears perked up when I heard thunder. I immediately go to NOAA's site to check our local radar then mutter under my breath "Crud(Okay, I didn't really say crud, but you get the idea), just south of us."
Went outside and those gray clouds were just rolllling by south of us. Mother Nature can be such a tease.
I would probably be on the roof myself trying to take pictures but I like my marriage the way it is.
"You're getting too old to be doing things like that, Dave."
"We've got a 70 foot oak in the back yard, if it hits anywhere, it'll hit that or one of the 90 foot tulip poplars behind us."
" Dave."
"Alright, dear."
It doesn't help that our house was struck by lightning 30 years ago, not long after she moved here.

lol, well, haven't shared this one before,,, but, when lived back in our beloved Ozarks, would go up on a ridge and do my goofy storm stuff, dancing under the pines w/ my previous black lab. This particular storm was so bad that the woman got in the 4x4 truck to come 'rescue' me... of course, I was not all that happy to be 'saved' So, I had to come down the hill into the field so could help drive her back out of the mud.
gdude - vast majority of people would claim those of our types are not quite right in the noggins...
