Anyone from Bedford?
While on a recent emergency visit to the vet clinic at Purdue I met & fell in love with a camel. On a subsequent return visit I was disappointed (for myself) that the camel had been discharged. I know that the camel lives in Bedford. I am hoping someone might know this camel, his name is Humphrey.
I am hoping to contact his owners about purchasing one of his offspring. I am unable to find anything about him/his owners poking around online, so I thought I would take a chance and see if anyone here might know. |

You might try searching the archives of the Bedford paper: the Times Mail. I live near Lawrence county, but I've not heard of anyone with a camel nor have I seen one on my travels there.

I took gdude's advice and put a posting on Craigslist. I just got an e-mail from someone who knows both Humphrey and his owners and will be passing my contact info along to them. Everyone at our farm is very excited about the prospect of having our very own camel!

The camel and his "wife" were sold a couple of days before I got into contact with the people. His new owners live in Orleans and have not responded to any of my attempts to contact them. It appears that they are a much larger operation and have many camels as well as other critters. You can rent an entire nativity from this place. |
