Can anyone give me some advise please.... (Indianapolis, Evansville: school, to live)

My family, and I are looking into moving to Indiana in about 2-3 years and we are starting our research early. We have a 10 week old daughter and schooling is goign to be very important to us. As far as carreers go I am a chef / cater and my wife does ]administrative office work. So a little help with the job oppertunities would be great. Like I said moving would be in about 2-3 years unless one of us finds a job sooner. Please give your input it would be greatly appreaciated. We would like to live near a major city with at most an hour to an hour and a half commute to jobs. Medium size towns are mainly what we are looking for.

Saying that you want to live around a large city...how large are you speaking? ..Chicago, Indy? ...Ft. Wayne? ...South Bend? ...Bloomington? ..Kokomo? ..Evansville? ..Louisville?
