I went, starting out in Plainfield and worked my way over to Terre Haute. I was very disappointed. I picked up only a few things, and none of them were what I considered super bargains; I bought them because I told myself I wasn't going home empty handed after driving all that way.
I was suprised that there weren't more folks participating along the route. It seemed like most of the people who participated had pure junk for sale. Of course I realize that's what yardsales are for, but a lot of them were priced too ridiculously high on what was simply garbage. There were lots of yardsales that only had clothing, and some of that was torn and stained. Why? When other people are selling good, and sometimes new clothing at a yardsale for $1 and $2, why would you put ripped blouses for sale for $3?
I went to the "World's Longest Yardsale" last year that stretches from Ohio to Alabama and it was great.
