Home prices in Indiana
Does anyone know of a web-site that give you the sales history of a home. I am looking at different homes and I would like to know how many times they have been sold and for how much? I'm familiar with Zillow and Trulia, but they don't always give you this information.

Mike it would be almost impossible to keep track of the selling history of all the houses sold in any given area. If you have a specific property address, or even a series of addresses, you can look them up in the county tax databases. Depending on your location, these may be online, or you may have to go to the county tax offices to look it up in person.
Or you could just find a really good real estate agent to help you out with that info! Good Luck!

Some online realty websites have a link to find that information but if you read the fine print, Indiana is one of the non-disclosure states so they only return estimates. But if you use one of the online realty searches you will get an idea of what the homes are listed for in the area you are looking at.

I just went to Trulia (never knew about it before). Lots of info there. I'm going to check out the other site later. Thanks for mentioning them.

That might be what the website says, but it is not true. Our local paper discloses sales prices weekly. A visit to our individual county website is also a source of sales prices.

Our newspaper and county does the same thing. In fact, now, our sales prices are updating within days in the county database. Me likey!

We get the Bedford paper because we are hoping to move to that general area and they publish what houses have been sold and what the price was. Maybe the non-disclosure thing only applies to the internet?

I heard the same thing....that IN is a non disclosure state....when I was looking for a home. When I look up my place in Chicago on the internet I can get a complete history of the prices but couldn't find anything on IN homes.
