Default IT jobs in Madison Indiana?

My husband and three children and I live in Milan, IN. We're thinking about a move to Madison in the next year or so. We're both driving to Cincinnati to work at hospitals up there (me at Christ as an RN and he is with the Health Alliance in IT), and we'd love to slow things down and be in a great small town with jobs nearby, less stress, less driving...the whole enchilada.

We love Madison very much and it has so many pluses, but we're worried about the job situation. Given that we're not in a super-big hurry, we'll probably be able to find a position for me at the local hospital as an RN, but I'm not sure about my hubby's IT stuff...he's a network engineer with 22 years of experience. He'd kind of like to move out of the hospital IT setting and work in something else, still with IT. We're thinking possibly schools, or maybe something to do with the town technology?

Can anyone suggest where he might apply, or start networking to maybe have employment in the future?

Thanks,
Cara

Madison is only about 45 minutes from Columbus. Columbus or even Kentucky would be an option. I would say Columbus would have some IT jobs available. You may want to check out Cummins and see if they will be hiring for something like this in the future. There are some small companies like TLS and Viking Networks that do a lot of IT work. I know you said something about your husband getting out of the hospital setting but there is always Columbus Regional Hospital.

Good Luck!!
