Columbus (http://www.columbus.in.us/) is a great city, so is Greensburg (http://www.downtowngreensburg.com) and nearby Batesville. Southeastern Indiana is set for some growth, but I don't believe any of these places will be sacrificing their small town feel. You'll just be getting the amenities (if needed) of a larger city with the same close, safe community, downtown-square, local diner, holiday parades, know-your-neighbor experience you get in small towns. Good ones are few and far between anymore, and SE Indiana's lucky to have retained a number of them, and even planning to enhance then at that.

Jasper,is a good town. The name sounds good too. They didn't call it Jasperville,or Jasperburg or Jasperton they just said Jasper, thats good enough, and it is.

Do not even consider Logansport Indiana; this town has worn dirty underwear for 50 years. If logansport were a drug----it would be a downer.

Jasper is pretty nice for a small town. I always looked forward to going there for baseball. For whatever reason, they love their baseball there and it was a neat experience. Scott Rolen is from Jasper and I think he has helped out with a lot of their facilities. I have never been to Germany but I have been told Jasper is a lot like Germany.

We currently live in Greenwood IN and would like to stay on the IN side rather than KY. IN has great schools for our kids.
Madison to Louisville takes an hour.

Hi, I grew up in Brownstown and it definitely has that small town feel. It has a town square around the courthouse, a small family diner, barbershop, etc... It is located between Seymour and Salem.
