Default Looking for House to rent In LaGrange

I am in desperate need of a 3/4 bedroom home to rent in Lagrange. Our mortgage company has refused to work with us o refinancing or modification. My husband had lost his job due to downsizing at we called them to find out if there was some way we could get our payments lowered so we could continue to make our mortgage payments. They told us to not make the payment( big mistake) and they would try to rewrite our mortgage. Long story short, we got screwed and now we have until the end of this month.
We have no where else to go and have 3 children and a small dog that is completely housebroken. Need help immediately trying to find a home. Tried Craigslist and the other rent sites. LaGrange is so small its pretty much word of mouth or who you know and I obviously dont know the right people.lol
If anybody knows of a house or a renter, please let me know!

Default place to rent in lagrange

Hey Mindy!

Of all things, a post from LaGrange, IN!

We are not all that connected here, but we know a few people and will be trying to help look for a place for you guys. Basically all we can do is if we see something, we can get the info for you. However, I do believe there are places to rent in LaGrange, probably anywhere from $500-$1200 a month. If you've already found something, let us know.

Hi Mindy,

Is your home on the Sheriff's Sale list yet? I work with homeowners who are in your situation.

We have not found anything yet and we arent having much luck finding anybody that rents out. I have tried calling realtors to see if they know of any and i am about at my wits end. Thank you for helping us out. I will definately keep you in my prayers. God Bless You

No we arent in the sheriff's sale yet but im sure it probably wont be much longer, they just refuse to work with us. From what i have read our mortgage company is good for this. There have been alot of calls to the BBB about them and alot of class action suits and ALOT of people who have lost their home due to their refusal to cooperate when people are willing to try to keep the house. Im sorry for rambling, but it just bothers me.

Would you give me a call at 260-336-0676? If I don't answer, leave a voicemail; I will return your call. There are ways to work w/the mortgage company, no matter how much headache you are having with them. It is worth a shot to avoid a foreclosure.
