We just rented a homes in Niles. We are really from Michigan but last July moved to North Carolina so my husband could take a job in Virginia. His company got a contract in Indiana and he transfered. He is working around the area of South Bend. Niles was in that area. What I really would like to know info about these two High Schools. I have 4 kids still at home and my son is going into 11th grade. 9th grade was in Michigan last year here in North Carolina which was very different. He has mostly attended smaller High Schools meaning less than 1200 kids. I see there is a small High school called Brandy something and then a larger one. Is there a certain area that will tell you what High School to attend. Also any info about the Elementary as well.

I'm not familiar with the school system up there but found a link to a PDF map. Brandywine is in the Brandywine Public School District. Bottom of the map, pale green, almost dead center. Niles Senior High School is almost due north in the Niles Community School District. You'll probably need to zoom into the PDF some to see them. It also maps where the other schools are at but doesn't name all the streets. You could use Google maps or something of that ilk to connect the dots.

I hope this helps and best of luck to your family.

I would avoid Niles public schools at all costs. I attended them myself, and found the education to be **** poor even compared to South Bend Schools....
