Yes, I'm afraid visiting our son will involve flying. Spokane is 2000 miles away and with out work schedules, we'd just about make it there when we'd have to turn around and come right back home.

Good luck in finding your farmhouse. I think you'll like Indiana's slower pace and miles and miles of rural scenery.

This is what I am looking for

* Located in Central Indiana
* Smaller Sized Town
* Cheaper Living Costs
* An okay job
* An easy to get around town, with a few shops close by
* A dog friendly town
* Safe area

Now onto a few questions out of curiosity.....

Does Indiana, have the same alcohol laws as everywhere, or is it more like Utah? (Although, it's not sold on Sundays.)

Are cigarettes still cheap there? (They cost $6.00 a pack, up here in some places.)
Don't move here unless you have a good job waiting for you. There are just no jobs here unless you really want to make $7.00 to $8.00 an hour. You might be able to find one that pays $9.00 an hour if you are willing to work the graveyard shift. This is especially true in the Bloomington area.

I just moved back from Arizona. This state itself isn't horrible. The people are friendly and this state has a classic "down home" feel. I am almost ready to give up looking for a job here though. The market here is BAD. Even though I just moved back, I am already looking into moving out-of-state again. I have an interview in Alaska.

I wouldn't venture too far out from Indy and Bloomington area. Everywhere else you would be bored out of your mind.
