Clarksville area
Hi folks, the wife and I are considering an early retirement in a couple of years and are seriously looking to move from upstate New York to the Southern Indiana / Louisville area. She's a former Valley Station girl and if we don't move into Louisville, Clarksville would be my choice. I do have a few questions and if anyone can answer them or direct me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to post this message in the Kentucky / Louisville forum as well.
1. Personal property taxes: I know this includes autos but what about travel trailers (campers)? Is it at the same rate? Are there any ordinances against them?
2. What is driving the economy: I see all the new shopping areas and the area seems to be busy but where is the manufacturing or is it "bleed over" from Louisville?
3. Flooding: what areas are NOT prone to flooding or is this a entire area concern.
4. Which would be the better area. (Not trying to start a fight, LOL)
