I saw your other post 'looking for a small town with church'.... here's what I posted there...
"My friend's uncle is the pastor of a Bible church in Dale Indiana... I have been trying to find a job in or near there (maybe live in Santa Claus) for a year now. I just haven't found the right job yet... He is a great pastor and teacher."

And what questions would those be? Unfortunately, tornados are a fact of life here. They don't happen very often, at least I don't think so. Went through one when I was 12 years old and still get spooked if the wind "makes that sound".
Get a house with a basement and invest in a weather radio.

What questions about tornadoes?
I've heard about several around here, but only seen two. Neither of them touched down.

It's not the tornados you gotta worry about, it's that whole 6 months+ of grey weather. But New England is about the same so you should adjust fine.
You should post a little more about what your looking for in a place to call home. Liberal area? Conservative area? What type of religion (if any) do you want to be around? What type of schooling/colleges? You like snow (northern)? If you give more details people can probably give you better more accurate advice. Good luck.

Rising Sun Indiana. Small town 35 minutes from downtown Cinci Ohio. Retains its small town persona even though a major company, The Grand Victoria Casino, moved in in 1996. Rivertown community with several small farm based burgs surrounding. It is beautiful all 4 seasons.

Lots of small towns and attitudes that go with them.
The real question from me to you is why are you leaving New England?

Rising Sun is very nice. I hear that Aurora is also becoming a little more populated (the downtown area).. the last time I was in I read something about some condo's going in downtown.. so it may be a good time to buy there..
Lawrenceburg is another nice big small town.. it's not huge, but it's nice.
Or how about Madison? It's a nice place.. right on the river.. near Louisville, KY.
