Default Wabash, IN

Is there anyone that knows anything about this town. Is it small, medium or large? Is it nice, good living, etc. Is the crime rate high or low. What would be some really good and bad highlights about Wabash. I need personal opinions. Looking thing up is not as real.

I have family in Wabash! It is a small town of about 12,000. Been that size for most of my life! Not much crime. Not many job oppurtunities either! It is about an hour from Ft. Wayne, and close to 2 hours to Indy. Kokomo is 45 minutes, but traffic in Kokomo is horrible! I like Wabash, but only to visit once or twice a year!

It depends on where you are coming from? If you are from a big city, Wabash is going to seem like the most rural town you could find. One things that discourages me about Wabash is it's location. Very bland, and no big cities that are that close. If you are considering the area, I would definitely consider Fort Wayne or South Bend.

Like I say to some of my friends, Wabash has a few chain stores: Wal-Mart, Culver's, fast food.

the hike from SB to Wabash would be awful! I went to college not far from Wabash and went there on occasion. It's a historic river town ... wasn't it the first town in America to be electricly lit??? Something like that. Anyway, it's typical small town, used to be a big manufacturing town, but not so much anymore.
