I'd agree with that one, although I think many people have an aversion to admitting they don't like it, simply because they are here. Plus I think a lot of people in Florida are hypnotized by the sunshine and warm weather into thinking they are happy. But I rarely see anyone here who actually seems content. The comment about the retirees is a good one, and I wonder how that effects the results. All I know is nobody asked me to take any poll.

I'm really missing that blizzard all my fellow Hoosiers are having. Go ahead, call me crazy.

This list seems pretty accurate. I've lived in numerous states and I've never seen so many miserable, angry, "glass half empty" type people in my life until I moved here. It really brings you down........

My experiences have been good in the larger cities and towns. We lived in a small town for awhile and that didn't go well, but that's almost to be expected. It's very difficult to make friends in small towns.

We've lived all over too for varying lengths of time, and generally had positive experiences with one glaring exception (not in Indiana).

I'm sorry it's not working out for you.

I think you can be happy anywhere that you live .It is what you make of the place that counts .

I would have agreed with you at one time. I do agree that no place is a utopia, but some places are better to live than others through no fault of your own. I love Indiana.

Happiness depends on one's individual circumstances and not on the state that one lives in. Right now, I am frustrated as heck because I have been unemployed for way too long. I will happily move to any state where I can find a job.

I'm very sorry about your situation. Our oldest's girlfriend is in the same boat. She has a bachelor's degree, but no job, no job prospects and nothing on the horizon.

Hopefully, the economy turns around soon. There are so many people out of work everywhere.
