How can I find a friendly american family to live with?
I ran into this forum the other day and loved it immediately. People here are so friendly, open and willing to help each other. As a oversea graduate student studying in Bloomington, I've been treated like that I was at home. And I'd like to know more about what life in the USA is really about by living with a friendly american family. I'm a quiet, honest, open and easygoing female, majoring in Science. I have enough stipend to pay the rent. I love talking to people from different backgrounds. Sharing experiences with other people is one of my favorite things, and living with a friendly american family will definitely be a unforgettable memory in my whole life. Any suggestions on how to find this family will be highly appreciated!

American Family
Talk to some pastors about your desire to find an American family to connect.

Bonjour Miss F
glad to have you in the great and friendly state of Indiana. By the way, there's no such thing as a 'foreigner' here because we're all part of one big happy family.

Check with the housing unit of any university or college in Indiana. They have many many foreign students and have the housing info at hand. They may have a list of families who are already interested and maybe screened.
