Default housing near indiana harbor
I have a job in Indiana Harbor with Mittal Steel and am looking for a nice place to stay. Can someone recommend an area which is somewhere between Chicago and Indiana Harbor so that I can rent a good apartment.

I don't know what kind of ammenities you're looking for, but if you want clean and quiet, I would look at Whiting.

My ex used to work at Inland/Mittal, I would stay away from East Chicago & North Hammond.

We Love the Miller Beach area. Rents are reasonable and the beaches, dunes and parks are great. Lots of Chicagoans are buying in Miller as weekend homes, also it would only be a 10 minute drive to work on route 12.

Check out south Hammond, Purdue University Calumet area or off of Hohman Ave around Forest ave

Hello members,

I just got a job offer from mittal steel and would be moving over thr within a month, can someone help me with finding a good and economical accommodation, I dont want to go more than 10 miles farther from the plant.
