If I had to state my opinion it would be the depot district.. it's very much up and coming but there's a lot of cool shops, restaurants and nightlife spots. Check out this article on my social blog about it:
Richmond's Historic Depot District
There's other stuff to, such as Hayes Arboretum or Cope Environmental Center. Richmond has a lot of potential. Just need people to get behind it
