First of all you need to just call it Angola - don't call it Angola City. It is just Angola.

I've never lived there, but it used to be part of my territory for business and I visit a lake near there every year. So I have a decent knowledge of the town.

Angola is a small town, but I think it is a pretty nice small town - nicer than the other small towns in northeast Indiana. I've heard the college is nice. Not sure there is a lot to do in the town, it is much more of a family town, very conservative - but there are a ton of lakes within 30 minutes of Angola.

Not sure what other info you want. Ask other questions and I'll try to answer them.

My firstborn (out of the house) daughter chose Tri State after high school not knowing anything about the area. From out of state she moved there after high school 6 years ago and hasn't left. She has loved Tri State/Angola area. The university was very good to her. The small town atmosphere has most everything you need. She/friends traveled to Fort Wayne/Indy for "city" time. We've spent alot of road time traveling to and from Angola.....it'll be a part of us for a long time.

Default Angola - Big city in the midst of 101 Lakes

I have lived in the neighboring town of Hamilton (about 12 miles southeast of Angola) we absolutely adore the area. It is quiet and has not got all the hustle and bustle of a large town. However, if I do get to missing that big town atmosphere the city of Fort Wayne is just forty-five minutes away.

We have a beautiful state park (Pokagon) that has a wonderful inn associated with it, there are horses and a toboggan for year round fun. There is a small amusement park (Fun Spot) and we have several theaters in the area.

Tri-State University is just five minutes away from Interstate 69 and access both north and south to larger cities and airports.

We hope you enjoy this beautiful area and good luck with your college career.
