Indianapolis is a huge part of the IU experience with only about a 10k difference in student population between Indianapolis and Bloomington/West Lafayette (both have around 40k while IUPUI just over 30k students). 10-15 years ago, that may have been the case, but not today.

As far as roads, CBus and Indianapolis will be similar. Most midwest tends to run close due to road salt eroding the roads during the winter months. All midwestern cities experience that, it goes with the territory.
My ex completed her BSW at IUPUI. Her degree says Indiana University but notes that it was granted at Indianapolis.

But im talking the whole picture. NFL/NBA/Indy 500/Indy has more sporting places HQ here than in any other city like Track and Field.
You're forgetting about the plethora of sports a school the size of Ohio State offers. Plus, Columbus has the NHL and MLS, which Indy does not. It has also hosted World Cup qualifiers. Let's not act as if Columbus is a sports slouch.

So, you are saying that except for the two major sports offerings at Ohio State, it is not a big deal? That is like saying no one watches sports in Indianapolis if you exclude the Colts, Pacers, and racetrack.

I honestly like college football/college sports than pro sports so I guess that means I should like Columbus, OH better.

I love Indy's Meridian Hills neighborhood and northern suburb of Carmel. Are there anything like them available in Columbus?

Do you know which airport is better: Indy Int'l or Port Columbus Int'l Airports?

I apologize for being off the topic in this thread but I am very eagar to know more about Indy vs. Columbus.

See above.

There's an Indy v. Columbus thread over in the City v. City forum, but don't look for rational discussion there.

All things considered Indy and Columbus are very similar.
One Advantage though is the state.
Indy has better job growth and is much closer to a large metro area (Chicago) than Columbus which it shares with Cleveland and Cincy which are both similar in size.
So Indy has the advantage of being 3 hours away from Chicago/St Louis and 1.5 hours from Cincy were as Columbus isnt.

Which city seems to be much cleaner for its size when it comes to trash litter and debris on the freeways: Indy or Columbus?

The best part of living in Indianapolis is the proximity to the greatest city in the world: Indianapolis.

The worst part of living in Indianapolis is that is only 3 hours away from Chicago, the worst, most despicable, crime infested, corrupt, hate filled, ignorant city to ever show up on the face of the Earth.

If Indianapolis was 3 years away from Indianapolis, instead of 3 hours, there would be no crime in Indy. Chicago is just that huge of a detriment to the overall well being to the state of Indiana and the magnificent city of Indianapolis.
