Meanwhile, some poor server gets the shaft.

Rave, it doesn't make you look cool or principled. You just look like a cheapazz.

Not my problem that Ir$ay takes a quarter from what should be going to the server. The state decided he obvioulsy needed it more than some college student waiting tables.

Funny, you're always talking about other people's bad morals. In which church do they teach that it's moral to take from one because of an issue you have with another?

Bizarre rationalization. You spend more on fuel driving to and from Madison County than whatever sales tax you get on your meal. Then again, I suppose this is intentional on your behalf, given your undying love of roadways and big oil (which is typical of conservatives).

Furthermore, I find it highly hypocritical that you complain incessantly about being "screwed out of your income" by someone else, yet apparently you do the same thing to restaurant servers by leaving paltry tips.

By the way, if said restaurant ordered its food products from a distributor in Marion County, you'd still be paying the tax.

Well, yeah--it is your problem because
(1) you're the one who has to pay, and
(2) you're the one complaining about it.

Ironically, the one person whose problem it isn't would be me. I recently moved to New York for work, but I'm still in the process of selling my house.

Hey Rave, come on out and visit. I'll get you a MetroCard and we can ride the subway together!

As you're in Queens, and assuming that would be the No. 7 train into the city, I'd be afraid of Rave going John Rocker on you.

Hey--they don't call him RaveKKKid for nothing! He'd have a field day.

I grew up in Anderson, having spent the first 23 years of my life there. The town was already in decline from the time I was born to the time I left in 1999. And, the overall decline continues to this day. Personally I'd rather French-kiss a python than move back there, and seeing as how Anderson's population has been declining for the larger part of forty years, my views evidently don't fall under the 'exceptions' category.

Check out the horse track and the casino. Do...I don't know what else, whatever. That's it, you can go back to Indy.

I don't know....I don't attend fairy tale worship centers.

In order for your comment to be true, both #1 and #2 would have to be true statements. #1 isn't a true statement when taking Ir$ay-$imon deductions, therefore your comment about it being my problem is invalid.

See, that's my point. The fact that you have to "take a deduction" in the first place illustrates that it's a problem for you. Normal people just pay the damn thing.
