My family went to Dr. James Gordon in Fishers - - it was pretty far out of our way, but worth it. (We recently moved out of state but considered planning 2/yr visits to the area and including a dental visit so we could keep him). If you need an orthodontist, Dr. Ron Miller at Carmel Orthodontics is awesome!

I wouldn't really be able to recommend a dentist, I have tricare united concordia so its very difficult to find an office that take that, indy isn't a very military town, my dad is in the service as well as my husband and while I'm not saying they're anti military, they just aren't very concerned with that around here. They invited my father out to unroll the flag at the colts texans game on veterans day along with some other military guys and they treated em like crap, a guy from the Texans was cool and came out to talk to them but the colts players could've cared less, my dad thought it kinda sucked how everyone went nuts for them when they rolled out the flag but they didn't even feed them.
As for vets I would recomend vca village park, Dr. Oxley is awesome. They have some online discounts if you google them and there are 7 in the area including a 24hr emergency hospital. VSC(veterinary specialist center is also a vca owned hospital. Wellington can care for exotics and pocket pets. Their prices are reasonable compared to most in the area surgery runs cheaper.
The receptionist at companion can be extremely unpleasant to say the least. Also they try to really get you for your dollar. My friends dog has addisons, they wanted to run 1000 dollars worth of test and procedures or euthanize the dog she went to vca village park, $82 bloodwork and some fluids, next day ur dog has addisons she's gonna be fine with a docp injection every 28 days. VCA also boards and grooms and unlike petsmart requires ur dog has full vaccines before they go in for anything, petsmart doesn't require boratella dogs constantly come out of that place with kennel cough.
VCA will really go above and beyond for their clients, I take my pit, my chow, and my cat there and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Vet & Dentist - we're lucky!
I have a great dentist AND vet, and yep, they are 2 different people!
Dentist - Dr. Eileen Helton 575-8993
890 E. 116th St., Ste 210
Carmel 46032 dentistryon116.com
She fairly recently left a 'company' of dentists to start her own practice, as she wanted to do things better and more personally. My family (75 year old mom to teenage son) have been seeing her for about 6 years. He new office is astouning is the updated equipment and service provided. I HIGHLY recommend her.
Our vet is also a personal friend - Dr. Gail Dallas at West 56th Street Vet Clinic 297-0345 (on W. 56th Street, between Georgetown and Guion)
She is in her 50s, grew up on a farm, and, as her Mom put it, Gail never had a choice but to be a vet ... the animals demanded it! She is totally in touch with the critters, and her staff is full of young, enthusastic people that truly want to learn to care for animals. Her office is not fancy (for humans), as she keeps her prices amazingly reasonable. Dr. Dallas has been very active and/or the Chair of various Indiana vet associations, and graduated from Purdue, thus having a huge base of other vets and specialists to contact as needed.
We didn't go to her for years, as I was concerned to mix friendship and business (especially regarding my fur-friends). It was our mistake, and my cat's loss - we should have gone much sooner! I have taken 4 cats, all with serious medical conditions to her, and couldn't be more happy. I have at least 3 friends that take their dogs to her, and, as one guy put it, he has never had a better vet.

[quote=RicGarni;1193971]Hopefully, two separate people!
Seriously, I recently moved to Indy and I am wondering if anybody has any recommendations on (1) veterinarians and (2) dentists. I[/quote
