Hi I am moving to Nap in about 30 days. I am looking for a 4 bedroom townhouse/apartment, where should I be looking. I have 5 children ranging in ages from 12 to 4. Not 2 sure about the neighborhoods.

the north or west side of Indy is pretty nice and safe. Especially the suburbs of Avon/Plainfield and Carmel/fishers.

Well of course crime isn't just in 1 place theres those few and far inbetween incidents that are outside the east side. Generally speaking be careful on the east side.

Default Indianapolis South Side

I live on the south side of Indianapolis and I love it. Affordable housing. Plenty of shopping. Less traffic. Check it out.

It may be helpful if you post some of your interests. Also, if you have a job, what part of town is it in. If you do not, what industry are you in. It will help us to advise you properly.

There is actually a large amount of crime in every single section of Indianapolis with the exception of the far edges of Indianapolis (because it's so suburban) and downtown. Everyone makes it seem like the east side is extremely unsafe, but it honestly isn't much worse than anywhere else. Additionally, it is home the best food in the city .

It is so easy to just dismiss the east side, isn't it? That's ok, it does help keep the yuppies away.
