A spot near the Edinburgh Outlet Mall would have been ideal. They could draw from Louisville and Cincinnati as well.
I disagree on 90% of the great hiking and camping being confined to just the southern Indiana area. Turkey Run and Shades are considered some of the better parks in Indiana and they are due west of Indy. Mounds in Anderson has some hiking as well. Looking at their store locator webpage, it seems to me that REI is opening stores in almost every major city, or smaller cities that are gateways to huge recreational meccas (Yellowstone, Glacier). I'm just glad we are finally getting a local REI brick and mortar store!

So what will it be:
-Escort service ran out of the building?
-Strip club/brothel?
-Or a combination of escort service, strip club, and brothel?

That's an interesting point. I guess the hotel maids will be getting a lot of extra tips, so they could be doing a lot more shopping.

Target moving into that spot is not a sign of failure, the spot sitting empty for the next 5 years is a sign of failure.

Target!

I would think that is horrible -
They are planning some targes in Chicago and its hitting alot of resistance
Personally it takes all character away from a city whethr its Indianapolis or Minneapolis, LA or New York or Chicago or Houston
Target is blah blah blah

Relax. There won't be a Target going in Circle Centre.

Umm, no.

That's Wal Mart you're thinking of. Target already has over a dozen stores throughout the city of Chicago, several of them multi-level stores designed to fit in a densely populated neighborhood.
