I have been searching for a wedding reception venue and I the fees are rediculous on top of the overall costs. I have having to pay a pre-set gratuity before I even know if the service was good. Some are as high as 29%! I doubt the gratuity goes to the poor servers.

Any creative ideas for places that will let you choose your own cater and supply the alchol with a licensed bar tender?
