I was headed north on Keystone yesterday when the light at 96th Street turned yellow. Several cars hit the gas and went through on yellow. But after the light turned red, FIVE cars continued through the intersection through the red light. Crazy! No wonder there are so many accidents at this intersection.

If I remember correctly, 7 of the 10 most dangerous intersections in the state are in Indianapolis. I remember 82nd and Alisonville, 86th and Michigan, Southport and Emerson, as well as 96th and Keystone all being on that list. Actually, it seems like there were a couple along Michigan Road at 71st aand 96th.

I loathe, loathe, LOATHE all of those intersections.

They wouldn't be so dangerous if people weren't so rude. Honestly, what they need to do is install cameras and ticket every single person that goes through on red.

That means the cops would actually have to get out. It's the exact same way at 96th and Meridian and Carmel police just watches as they do it.

I worked in Chicago for a week recently. They have "red light" cameras all over the city. If your car enters the intersection more than three seconds after the light changed to yellow, the camera gets a photo of your plate and you get a $100 ticket in the mail.
