Mark my word, we won't be hosting the Super Bowl again. They only gave it to us because they felt like they had to because of the new stadium. The first time we lost it to Dallas, and the second time we barely got the votes needed. So don't get your hopes up.

Actually, the second time we won going away. If I remember correctly, you need 24 votes to win on the first ballot, and we got 23.

Agreed and whats so bad about Indy hosting the Super Bowl? Is the 150,000 people coming to check out our city not a good thing? for local businesses etc. Also as i said some of those 150,000 people will probably love Indy and maybe move here

Indianapolis has to get through San Jose before hitting a million.

lol not by much remember california has 12% unemployment rate and is the WORST state for businesses so i expect San Jose to either stop growing or go backwords like most of california. Have to say the liberals are turning california into a 3rd world state.

Since when? San Jose can grow or decline, no one out here in the midwest would care either way. That doesn't mean other places won't grow unless you think all of the population growth in the U.S. would occur only in San Jose?

Well, the difference is that Indy won't have to worry about being at Sacramento's mercy on the way to hitting that 1 million mark...just get the hell outta way.

I doubt if Indianapolis has enough available land to take the city over a million. But, if Indianapolis builds "up", intead of "out", Indianapolis could easily go over a million. Do what Austin and Denver and Dallas are doing, put several high rise, high dollar condos in the downtown area, and you could easily have 60,000 people right there.

Please stop. San Jose is the fastest-growing job market in the country; it's gorgeous; the weather is idyllic, and people around the world will always want to be there.
