I have a job opportunity in Westfield. I'm looking at some short term room mate situations in Westfield or Carmel, but according to my one source in the area, Broadripple would be a better fit for me ( fairly liberal, gen. x type ).
Is Broadripple somewhat "hip" , and would it be out of the question to commute to Westfield from Broadripple ?

It's about a 20-25 minute drive from Broad Ripple depending on traffic and time of day. Not bad at all! It may even be a bit shorter if you go to northern/north western Broad Ripple.

I'll save you from the long version.... In a nutshell, Westfield/Carmel area is very family oriented and suburban so if you're single and ready to mingle, I'd live in Broad Ripple and just commute to Westfield.

what area of the USA are you coming from? makes it easier to see if Broad Ripple is a good place or not.

Also yes X-Green is right about BroadRipple.

Phyiscally, its not that far at all. Roughly 10-12 miles depending on what part of BR and what part of Westfield.

BUT.......Traffic in Broad Ripple is an absolute nightmare.

Ironically, Westfield Blvd. runs directly into Broad Ripple.
