Default Can't figure out BrightHouse/Comcast

I can't figure out the relationship between Comcast and BrightHouse around here. Do they ever compete head-to-head? Is the area entirely disjoint between the two? Does it ever switch hands (i.e., can I get my service replaced)?

Comcast and Brighthouse offer cable service to different territories throughout the metro area. They don't compete head-to-head.

So even if comcast claims online that they have service at my address, the fact that there's a BrightHouse box outside, and that the previous homeowner had BrightHosue, basically means that that's bunk?

You can always try. Make a appointment for comcast to install but dont be surprised when they cancell at last minute or dont show.

So, is that to say Brighthouse is more reliable? I was really leaning towards Comcast (for xfinity) until I read this.

No it means i am a subcontractor for comcast and his address has never had comcast service. It is not a comcast area. So even if a salesperson sets up a install, it will never happen. They will no show or cancell.

thanks, but I won't be a resident for another 15 weeks. I work for NicePak, Inc. in Jonesboro, AR, but will be employed by NicePak in Plainfield, IN but I will be living in Indy. I'll look you up when I have an address.
