Why is Pike Township mostly black? it's up north towards Zionsville shouldn't there be more whites? I've been trying to figure this out.

I'm not sure what type of answer you are looking for. Pike township goes pretty far south and it just so happens more blacks than whites live in the district. That is just the way it is.

Blacks have lived in Pike for quite some time now...but it seems like the abundance of apartment complexes attract low-income blacks into suburban areas, including Pike.

Default There Is More Diversity In Pike Township.

Pike Township is not mostly black. There are whites or politically correct (caucasian) African Americans,Asians,Swedish, Spanish, etc .you name it.What difference does it matter anyway? All blacks per se are not low income. The median income for any home owner in the Pike area is probably between 40,000- 100,000.How would I know this? Because I am a minority whose income is between 70,000 and 90,000.

I didn't say the township was mostly black, I said the schools are. Which they are.

Maybe blacks have larger families than whites in general. What's the big deal about this anyway. We're all Americans. Stop looking at differences and look for similarities, for that is what unites us.

Wayne Township has just as many African Americans. I don't get your comment. Our sons went to Pike when we first moved here then we moved to Wayne....both were equal when it came to the different nationalities LOL Maybe you need to change the color of your eyes when you look at people?

Ben Davis has a lower percentage of blacks than Pike. Shows what you know.

ROFL You're right....after living here for 12 years I couldn't possibly know what I am talking about.

One thing I've learned, when someone "knows it all" you can't tell them anything. How old are you? You sound like a teenager...am I right?
