most of the people who are shot are involved in shady dealings.

Greenfield Ind, is your best bet. Its 45 min east of Indy. Indpls is not the place to raise a family with children. Alot of bussing unless of course your gonna put your kids in a private school. Been there, done that. You will be what you see!

I don't believe I'm mistaken in noting that the busing from the IPS district to township schools to achieve racial balance ended a few years back. This is mostly due to the fact that the township schools are now notably more diverse.

Also, Greenfield is not 45 minutes from Indy, not even downtown Indy.

Greenfield Ind, IS 45 min from meridian st downtown Indpls. Google says 33 min but you know how washington st is during rush hour if your commuting to work. Your right! There is no more mandatory busing, its called diversity now. If a school bus goes several miles out of its way past already existing schools in the area to get to the opposite side of town to a different school district then its called bussing. Or is the new word diverse the correct word?

You know who else has a biased opinion? People who live in the 'burbs and know little to nothing about the schools in Indianapolis and the people who live here. I know folks who send their kids to IPS, I know folks that don't. Funny thing is, they are all of near equal intellect; most even know the difference between peoples and people's.

Point is, kids are no longer bused from the IPS district to township schools on the other side of town.

Who takes Washington Street to commute from Greenfield to downtown Indy when 70 would be much quicker?

Wayne, Pike, Washington and Lawrence have stopped. Decatur, Franklin still bus. Not sure about Perry.

In order of there to be one shooting a day the homicide rate would have to be at least 365 per year, and since the 2011 numbers are significantly lower than that and the fact that homicides occur all over the city your claims are exaggerated , just another paranoid severely misinformed american.

schools in indy are just fine, do us a favor and stay and your poorly built plastic suburban fortress, away from the "minorities" and " dangers of the big city" it's clearly too much for you to handle
