^^As a product of IPS, that is a very horrible thing to for you to say.
And by the way, Wash. Twp (and all the townships for that matter) are gradually sliding downhill and they aren't far behind IPS in terms of performance and social demographic. Be careful what you say.

I agree. I am also a product of IPS (and Butler).
Frankly, I haven't observed the products of township schools to be any better than the products of IPS. I find the snobbish attitudes of those who have kids in township schools to be rather... quaint given the big picture.

Dr. White needs to start pointing out the positives of IPS because all the Star paints is a bleak picture. As long as people who want to move into the area are able to search on the Star's website for stories about IPS, they will continue to not move into the area or go private.

I doubt they're getting less money. The money is just going to the wrong places.. With the tax increases, schools should definitely be improving within the next 1-5 years, as well as a decrease in crime, and better city services.
Or so it seems...

Chances are you are an IPS product from 20+ years ago when they were exceptional. If they are so great why don't you send your kids there? Also, NC has a great academic reputation. Be careful what you say.

There is a postive story in this month's Indianapolis Monthly Magazine regarding the good things going on at IPS.

Can you post a link? As an outsider, I assume living in MK means private school. Would like to see something that says the publics are worth considering.......
