I think it is related to Marsh and they are in financial straits with management changes. Maybe it will or wont. Everyone wants it but if Sunflower market seems to be having problems, can we support another boutique market, or will we???

Sunflower is having problems??? I think right now, Marsh is focusing on updating their stores and consolidating others. This could be good and the Fresh Market may come eventually, but not right now. Are they planning on putting it in the Atlas market site?
Philly .. did you end up moving here, I thought you decided to stay put.

Marsh has nothing to do with Fresh Market, its a completely different company.
But this is what is going on with the project, from the Indianapolis Business Journal:
"Since crews finished clearing the old Atlas Supermarket site in March, the corner has been conspicuously quiet. The lack of construction work has helped fuel speculation that the deal for a Fresh Market is in jeopardy. The latest word is the project is still on, but the opening has been delayed. City planning officials flagged changes Fresh Market had made to the facade after its initial approval, requiring more administrative review, a city spokeswoman says. The city gave its final blessing on May 28. Fresh Market now plans to start construction in the fall and open in Spring 2008. The grocery store will be northeast of 54th Street and College Avenue."

On the moving part....
On again, off again, then on, then off.
Now, potentially on. Strange situation

It did. We saw it on our house hunting trip last weekend. It's a nice store and seems walkable from many of the homes we visited.
