Where do people get their money in hamilton county?
Where the heck do folks get the money for all those mansions in hamilton county? I mean, I thought I saw it all on the north shore of chicago, with lake forest, winnetka, et.al., but they have nothing on the manses in hamilton county. Many houses are just plain insanely huge. I would imagine that in California many would go for over 10 million easy. My question is, where in the hell are they getting the money working in Indy? I can see that some pacers and colts might have the bucks, and maybe some folks from Lilly and other corporations based in the circle city, but there are a LOT of huge houses. Also, even more quasi-huge houses, which pretty much complete Fisher's and Carmels housing stock. Where, oh where, is the money coming from? God, I never knew so much money was in Indy!
WOW!

You're seriously impressed by the houses in Fishers and Carmel? Those houses are nothing compared to the beauties in Meridian Kessler.

I believe some think tank in Carmel is in line to buy Hilbert's mansion. Guess nobody wanted the 20 million pricetag.

Per meridian kessler, I know they have that home tour each year, so I'm sure that
those classic old manses are quite impressive! problem is they could never afford to
build those classic houses again. The tradesman wouldn't even know how to replicate
the old-world molding and statuary that was common on the old ones. I'll take the old
ones anyday....

I'm KIDDING!!
Aside from the Doctors, Lawyers, etc., I believe many of our professional athletes live up that way also.

BTW, Two Hamilton county thingies blew my mind. One, there was this loop road that
went through a new subdivision. It was maybe a 2 mile loop, and EVERY house was
mind-blowing. All were newer version of the old mansions with the brick and masonry,
ivy and all. I had a rare chance to see the stuff usually behind gated walls. What the
hell is behind the gated ones? MAN! Another time, I saw this house in hamilton C that
had to be 40,000 sq ft., maybe more. It ws at the top of a ridge, and I just parked,
looked up, and said, oh man......hey, I guess someone has to live the high life.
